FESTIVUS 2 is winging its way to you just in time to chase away those bleak midwinter blues!

The second compilation of Highline Records artists and friends, Festivus 2 features brilliant holiday tracks from Washington indie rock legends Lilys, Britpop veterans Dodgy, glitter-rockers Glam Chops (featuring Eddie Argos from Art Brut), Francis McDonald of Teenage Fanclub, LA dream rockers Western Lows, indie starlet Piney Gir, and rising punk troubadour Darling BOY.

Also featured are celebrated UK folk due Trevor Moss & Hannah-Lou, and the rockabilly-noir stylings of Dennis Hopper Choppers, plus many more great songs to get you indie rocking around the Christmas tree.

2012’s Highline Festivus received rave reviews from the NME and Q Magazine, and Festivus 2 delivers another dose of holiday fun, from indie rock carols to retro-rocking Christmas shenanigans and beautiful future-classics.

The album opens with Western Lows’ reverb-drenched rendition of Silent Night, in keeping with the ethereal stylings of their recently released debut album Glacial, which was championed by Bob Harris and The Guardian. Lilys’ version of Good King Wenceslas delivers a rare slice of the indie veterans’ signature 60s sound, and is a guitar-bending psychedelic delight. Glam Chops’ Baby Jesus Was The First Glam Rocker features Eddie Argos’ sublimely brainy crooning from on glam-spangled high, with singalong choruses fit to ring in the season. Dodgy continue the blistering return to form ignited by their comeback album with the beautiful, delicate Christmas At The Food Bank.

Trevor Moss & Hannah-Lou have just released their 3rd album and toured the UK, travelling to their venues via riverboat. Their version of In The Bleak Midwinter is sure to bring a tear to your eyes. Piney Gir’s 2012 album Geronimo! Received rave reviews in the UK and US, and was championed by NPR in America. Her song It’s Christmas is sweet enough to mull your wine! Darling BOY counts Alan McGee, Mark Ellen, XTC’s Andy Partridge and Glen Matlock as admirers and delivers the insanely catchy Thank God It’s Christmas with his typical, exhilarating blend of wistfulness and jaunty energy. The Priscillas’ One Christmas Wish is as sweet as the frosting on a mince pie and just as moreish.

FESTIVUS 2 has been brought to you by Highline Records and Father Christmas, because you’ve been very good this year.
